We can treat tanned skin as long as the tan isn’t active in the skin, therefore we recommend no sun exposure a minimum of 10-14 days before and 3 days after your treatments. We always recommend wearing a high factor suncream SPF 30+ during your laser treatment programme.
A personalised discussion and assessment of your goals and suitability, a patch test as part of the pre-treatment process, and a treatment plan personalised to you.
All our packages include 6 sessions as this is generally the recommended amount for optimal results with our machine. A yearly top up may also be required, to keep any stray hairs at bay.
Whilst pregnant or breastfeeding, we would recommend that it is best to wait post-pregnancy (3 months) before having any treatments. This will allow time for your hormones to regulate so that you can get the best out of your treatments. It has also never been tested whether laser treatments are safe or unsafe for pregnant ladies.
Please do not apply any fake tan or self-tanning products for at least 7 days before your laser hair removal treatment.
Before your appointment, please make sure that all traces of fake tan have been completely removed from the treatment area. Unfortunately, if any visible fake tan remains, we will be unable to carry out your treatment.
Fake tan can be reapplied 24 hours after your treatment.
Please note: if visible fake tan is present at the time of your appointment and we are unable to perform your treatment, 50% of the treatment cost will be charged.
Following your FREE consultation and patch test, you will need to wait at least 48 hours before you commence with your first treatment. This is for insurance purposes and to check you have no reactions to the laser.
The key difference between the two treatments is that IPL uses a broad spectrum of high-intensity light, which is emitted at multiple wavelengths. Laser hair removal emits a single focussed and precise wavelength, which is optimised for maximum follicle absorption.
